Jharkhand assembly elections: In the Jharkhand elections, two daughters-in-law from Bairia area of Balia in Uttar Pradesh are face to face from Jharia assembly constituency of Dhanbad.
BJP candidate Ragini Singh and Congress candidate Purnima Singh belong to the same family. In the last election, Ragini Singh defeated Sanjeev Singh. This time again there is a tough competition between the two sisters-in-law.
Bairia: In the Jharkhand elections, two daughters-in-law of Bairia area of Ballia are facing each other from Jharia assembly constituency of Dhanbad district. Both the candidates belong to the same family of Gonihaya Chhapra village of the area.
BJP candidate Ragini Singh is the wife of Sanjeev Singh, son of former Jharia MLA Surya Dev Singh and elder brother of former Bairia MLA Vikram Singh, while Purnima Singh, wife of late Neeraj Singh, son of Rajan Singh, younger brother of former MLA Vikram Singh, is the Congress candidate.
At present, she is also an MLA from Jharia assembly from Congress. After the murder of late Neeraj Singh, his family and Sanjeev Singh came face to face. Sanjeev Singh is currently in jail in the murder case. In the last election, Ragini Singh defeated Sanjeev Singh in the election and captured the Jharia seat.
Jharkhand Elections: Suryadev Singh had gone to Bihar at the age of fourteen
The political fort of six brothers Devvansh Singh, Suryadev Singh, Vikram Singh, Bachcha Singh, Rajan Singh, Ramdheer Singh of Gonihaya Chapra of Bairia has been very strong. Except Vikram Singh and Ramdheer Singh, four brothers have passed away.
It is said that Suryadev Singh had gone to Bihar at the age of fourteen. He was elected MLA from Dhanbad for seven consecutive times. While Ramdheer Singh has been the District Panchayat President of Ballia, his wife Indu Devi has been the Mayor of Dhanbad.
Bachcha Singh has also been a minister in Jharkhand while Vikram Singh was the MLA of Bairia. Apart from them, the families of the four brothers have been living in Jharkhand for the last 70 years. Currently, his daughter-in-law Madhu Singh is the block pramukh of Bairia.

After this, their son Sanjeev Singh was the MLA. After being named in the murder of Neeraj Singh, he is in jail these days while his wife Purnima Singh is in the field.
