New Delhi: Donald Trump, who is going to become the President of America, launched a new crypto token $TRUMP on Friday. As soon as it was launched, it created a stir in the crypto market. Within a few hours, it rose by about 8000 percent and its market cap crossed $15 billion.

When its market cap reached $10 billion, it surpassed the S&P’s returns of the last 40 years. The speed at which its market cap was jumping, people started suspecting that someone might have hacked Trump’s account.

Its price at launch was $0.18, which rose 7,790 percent to $15.13 in a few hours. It rose 4,200 percent in the first two hours after launch. This Solana-based meme coin started with posts on Trump’s social media accounts Truth Social and X. It created a stir as soon as it was launched.
Many users were under the illusion that Trump’s social media account may have been hacked. But the meme coin continued to rise. Within three hours of launch, the market cap of $TRUMP rose to $8 billion.
