TikTok Ban in US: On Friday, January 17, the US Supreme Court ruled to uphold the ban on short video app TikTok, due to which this app has been banned in the US from today.
The Awadh Times, United States: TikTok Ban in US– Popular short-form video app TikTok has been banned in the US. After the ban, TikTok has sent a message to users, stating that “We are working to restore our service in the US as soon as possible.” A similar message is also visible on the CapCut app. After 10:30 pm ET, TikTok and CapCut have completely stopped providing services to users in the US.
Why was TikTok banned in America?
Actually, some time ago the Biden government passed a new law in the US. Under which if TikTok does not separate from its parent company i.e. ByteDance, then it will be banned in the US from January 19, 2025. Now due to this law, the app has gone offline.

App disappeared from App Store:
In a post, Apple Hub has informed that the Tiktok app has been removed from the US App Store. Not only this, millions of users in the US are now seeing a pop-up message after opening TikTok, which many users are sharing on social media platforms.
President Trump’s stance towards TikTok Ban in US:
On the other hand, President Trump has indicated that after taking oath on January 20, he can postpone the ban for 90 days through an executive order. However, it is not yet confirmed whether he will take this decision under the law or he will have this option even after the ban.
TikTok users have also expressed displeasure over this ban. Users are now putting more pressure on both the governments than the company to lift the ban. TikTok lovers hope that this service will be resumed soon.
