Waqf Law: Murshidabad burning in the fire of violence, two people died in Samserganj, one person injured by bullet in Dhuliyan:
In the case of violence in Murshidabad, West Bengal on April 11, the police said that some people were reported seriously injured in two areas of Murshidabad district, after which our team reached the spot and found two people seriously injured by knife in a house. They were admitted to the local hospital for primary treatment, but the doctors declared them dead.
The Awadh Times, West Bengal: After the amendment of the Waqf Act by the Bharatiya Janata Party, two people have died during the ongoing protest against the Waqf Law (Amendment) Act in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.
Giving information about the case, the police officer said that the deceased father and son were found injured in their house in Jafarabad of violence-affected Samserganj area. After which both were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead after examining them.
Family members alleged that miscreants stabbed them after looting
The family members of the deceased have alleged that miscreants had attacked both of them with knives several times during looting their house. At the same time, the officer said that in a separate incident, another person has been reported shot in Dhuliyan of Samserganj block.

Large scale violence was reported from Suti and Samserganj areas of Murshidabad district on Friday during the protest against the Waqf law.
Police have arrested more than 100 people so far
Violence broke out for two days in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district over the protest against the Waqf law. First on April 8 and then on April 11, in which so far the police has taken primary action and arrested more than 100 people.
