Wife and Lover Kill Husband in Amritsar: In a chilling incident from Amritsar, Punjab, a 50-year-old woman and her 70-year-old lover were arrested for brutally murdering her husband. The police investigation unraveled a dark tale of betrayal and conspiracy, pointing to the wife, Balwinder Kaur, as the prime suspect. Under intense questioning, she confessed to the crime, exposing the grim details.
This case follows a disturbing pattern seen recently, like the Saurabh murder case in Meerut, UP, where spouses have plotted with their lovers to eliminate their partners. In Amritsar, the victim, 55-year-old Kashmir Singh, was killed and his body callously dumped on a railway track to mislead authorities.
Body Discovered on Railway Track:
A few days ago, Kashmir Singh’s lifeless body was found along the railway lines in Amritsar. What initially seemed like an accident turned out to be a cold-blooded murder orchestrated by his wife, Balwinder Kaur, and her lover, Amar Singh. The police have since arrested the duo, who carried out the gruesome act and attempted to cover it up by abandoning the body near Vyas.
A Secret Affair That Turned Deadly
According to GRP officer Balbir Singh, Balwinder Kaur and Amar Singh had been involved in a clandestine relationship for years. Kashmir Singh, aware of his wife’s affair, confronted her repeatedly, urging her to end it. However, Balwinder refused to break ties with Amar, and her husband’s interference became unbearable for the lovers.

A Sinister Plot to Eliminate the Husband
Frustrated by Kashmir Singh’s objections, Balwinder and Amar hatched a plan to get rid of him permanently. About four days prior to the discovery of the body, they attacked Kashmir Singh with sharp weapons, killing him. Later that night, they transported his body on a motorcycle and left it on the railway track, hoping it would be mistaken for an accident.
Police Crack the Case
As the investigation deepened, suspicions zeroed in on Balwinder Kaur. When brought in for questioning, she initially resisted but eventually broke down, admitting to the murder. She revealed how she and Amar Singh planned and executed the crime. Following her confession, the police apprehended Amar Singh. Both suspects were presented in court and placed on a three-day police remand for further questioning.
This tragic case serves as a stark reminder of how hidden relationships and unresolved conflicts can escalate into unthinkable acts of violence.
