NEET UG 2025 Notification: NEET UG, the entrance exam for admission in MBBS, BDS etc. courses in medical colleges, will be conducted simultaneously across the country.

The Awadh Times, Education: NEET UG 2025 Notification: Notification for conducting NEET exam for admission in undergraduate courses in medical colleges has been issued. This notification has been issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday evening, in which it has been clarified that the exam will be conducted in offline mode and not online.

The Awadh Times, Education: This exam will be conducted on the same day and in the same shift on pen and paper mode i.e. OMR sheets. It has also been clarified in the notification that for admission in which courses it will be necessary to get qualifying marks in this exam.

This is said in the NEET UG 2025 notification:

In the notification issued by NTA, information has been given about conducting NEET UG exam under Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019. It has been told that through this examination, admission will be done in MBBS and BDS courses of graduate medical education.

Apart from this, through the National Medical System Commission Act, 2020, admission will be done in Indian medical system courses i.e. BAMS, BUMS, BSMS in all medical institutions through this exam. Also, this exam will have to be passed for admission in BHMS course of National Homeopathy Commission.

NEET is also necessary for military medical colleges:

Admission will also be done in military medical colleges through NEET UG. Candidates of Military Nursing Service (MNS) will have to score qualifying marks in NEET UG for admission in BSc Nursing course in Armed Forces Medical Services hospitals.

25 lakh students are expected to appear in the exam:

Around 25 lakh students are expected to appear in the NEET UG 2025 exam this time. In the year 2024, more than 24 lakh students appeared in the NEET UG exam.

Admission to about 1,08,000 MBBS seats in the country is done through this exam. This includes seats available in both private and government institutions.
